Nettet5. apr. 2009 · Joining Copper and Stainless Steel. 04-05-2009, 07:49 PM. I am working on a prototype concept, but I need some help. Think of a stainless steel open top box 30" long x 24" wide x 10" deep. I need to run (8) 2.00" copper pipes, evenly spaced, thru the box, 5 inches off the bottom of the box. The pipes will run in the 30" long dimension. Nettet1. jan. 2024 · In this work, commercially pure copper and stainless steel 316L are laser welded with a continuous CO2 laser at two different laser powers. The compositions at Heat affected Zone (HAZ) and weld zone are characterised based on the results obtained from EDS. The tensile strength and Vickers microhardness are also found out, and the ...

NettetThe paper presents the results of the evaluation of the mechanical characteristics of samples of multi-metal “copper-steel” structures fabricated by additive double wire electron beam method. The global and local mechanical characteristics were evaluated using uniaxial tensile tests and full-field two-dimensional digital image … NettetWelds with more than about 10% iron tend to have excessive fissures and develop hot cracks. The ENiCu-7 and ERNiCu-7 fillers (65Ni-Cu) have a higher tolerance for iron and are used in joining to carbon steels. However, they are not a good choice in welding to stainless steels because of limited tolerance for dilution by chromium.
